There are many ways, big and small, in which Highlanders serve and care for one another. Below are some of the opportunities and areas where you may want to participate in the life of our community with your gifts. If you are interested in any of these areas please let the Ministry Coordinator know at office@highlandcommunitychurch.ca.
Anyone wishing to team up or serve solo, the coffee table has open spots in our monthly rotation starting in September. Don't forget to bring your mug on Sunday mornings for Highland Bistro.
Communion prep duties
Highland has communion at least once a month. We would like to invite some folks to help in preparing the communion elements on those Sundays.
GREETERS
The Greeters invite more people to join them in welcoming folks to Highland on Sunday mornings, handing out bulletins, and ensuring the space is safe and hospitable.
Children's Ministry
The Children's Ministry Team is interested in hearing from anyone who would like to be involved in our Learning For Life program. They can be reached at childrensministry@highlandcommunitychurch.ca
Musicians
If you can sing and/or play an instrument and would like to use those gifts during our Sunday morning worship gatherings we would like to hear from you.
Care Team
The Care Team is responsible for coordinating meals for individuals and families when a need arises within the Highland Community. They also have a cooking day a few times a year to have meals on hand in the church freezer.
offering counters
The offering counters work in a rotation that, ideally, has each team member counting only once every month or two. Each counter works with a partner and together they are responsible for counting and depositing the offering for that week.
Powerpoint Operator
We are looking for people to operate the powerpoint on Sunday mornings. If you are able to push a button and follow along with the service we would like to hear from you.
